Jaiprakash Associates has secured a US$438M contract to build two tunnels in Andhra Pradesh. JP Associates finance director S Nailwal said the contract, awarded by the Department of Irrigation in Andhra Pradesh, calls for the construction of one 43.5km tunnel and a 7.2km link from the Srisalem reservoir to the state’s Nalgonda district. Completion is in five years.
