The 8km-long Yellow Line from Fridhemsplan to Älvsjö is part of the national transport infrastructure development plan, funded by the Swedish government and the municipalities in Stockholm.
The metro extension project will use Typsa and Ramboll’s experience of stations, TBMs, underground structures, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.
The new metro line will have six stations and will run through bedrock and under an inlet of Lake Mälaren. The two contracts will start in autumn this year and continue until completion of the line.

The Typsa/Ramboll consortium, in which the companies are equal partners, has previously provided services and technical expertise for the extension of the Blue, Green, Red and Yellow metro lines.
