MBT (Master Builders Technolgies) and HCB (Holderbank Cement und Beton) have joined forces to form the BSS Partnership, designed to meet the concreting requirements of a critical part of the Gotthard Base Tunnel (T&TI last month).
HCB and MBT have developed complete concrete systems for the Sedrun shaft area complex and tunnelling from that point. The systems have been approved by AlpTransit Gotthard. Considerable time and quality advantages are claimed for the supply from only one party, to assure the best cost effectiveness and durability of each system.
The BSS team will be available for around the clock service and technical support for when the major work from Sedrun commences. Considerable international knowhow in concrete production, logistics, concrete applications and consultancy is claimed.
