Test trains have begun running on the first section of the Shanghai Metro Line 2. City officials were able to use the 13.6km long section between the Pudong terminus at Long Dong Lu and Jing An Temple, west of the city centre.This section has been declared complete, although fitting out of the stations and tunnels on the remaining 2.8km to Zhong Shan Park remains to be finished by the end of the year.
