A $1.6m reinforcement operation is being undertaken by London Underground Limited at Parliament Square. The area is having a thick layer of concrete laid under it in measures to prevent a possible collapse of the area under the weight of Millennium Eve revellers. The square lies directly over the District and Circle lines in south west London.
