Dr Martin Herrenknecht (pictured left), founder of German TBM manufacturer Herrenknecht, has been awarded the Order of Merit from the State of Baden-Württemberg. Secretary of State, Erwin Teufel (pictured right) presented the award in Stuttgart honouring Herrenknecht for his accomplishments in international economy as well as establishing a large number of jobs in the rural area of Schwanau, where the main factory is located. The award is the highest decoration that the state can award for “Distinguished Services to Country and Population.”
