Gammon India, a subsidiary of Swedish construction giant, Skanska, will build two tunnels as part of a US$41M contract from India’s National Hydroelectric Power Corporation. Work involves the construction of a 10km headrace tunnel and a 780m long tailrace tunnel that form part of the second stage of the 120MW Sewa hydro-electric project in Jammu and Kashmir, northern India.
