The Republic of Montenegro is inviting companies to tender for rehabilitation work to two rail tunnels totalling 3.5km following receipt of a loan from the European Investment Bank.

The tender dossier is available in English and tenders are due for return by 12pm on 19 October this year. The public opening of tenders will be held thirty minutes later at 12.30pm with subsequent award being based upon the “lowest bid satisfying the administrative and technical criteria”.

Describing the outline scope, the tender notice said the tunnel lining and rock are to be evaluated and then the tunnel and surrounding rock are to be strengthened by rockbolts. Poor ground shall be strengthened with a concrete lining and the gap between the lining and the rock must be grouted.
