The Dubai Rapid Link (DURL) consortium has won a US$1.55bn contract from the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority for the construction of the 17.6km Green Line on the Dubai metro.
The group, which is headed by Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation and includes Hong Kong design firm Aedas, is already building the Red Line.
The Green Line includes 7.6km that will be built in tunnel. There will also be 14 stations. Construction of the Green Line, which will be mainly built in the central business districts of Deira and Bur Dubai, will start soon.
