Transport Initiatives Edinburgh (tie), the promoter of the Edinburgh Airport Rail Link (EARL) Bill has welcomed a recent development in which the Scottish Parliament has decided to support the general principles of the Bill.
The project includes an underground station and 2.4 km of rail tunnel underneath Edinburgh Airport and will place the airport at the centre of the national rail network.
Barry Cross, EARL project director, welcomed the result of the vote saying it underlines the importance of EARL to the whole of Scotland.
