Atlas Copco will deliver a total 28 machines for underground, surface and exploration drilling, loading as well as stationary and portable compressors. The customer is the CCC Ituango consortium, consisting of Camargo Correa from Brazil, and Conconcreto and Coninsa from Colombia.

The equipment is to be delivered over the coming year, the company stated.

³Colombia is an increasingly important market for Atlas Copco and we are pleased to be able to meet local demand for products and services related to infrastructure and civil engineering projects,² said Bob Fassl, business area president for mining and rock excavation.

Earlier this year Atlas Copco revealed record sales in South America for 2011.
