DMT a leading company in Exploration & Geosurvey has introduced three instruments for “reliability in planning, construction and operation”.

‘Summit Monitoring’ is a multi channel engineering seismograph. It is available as a stand-alone or computer driven instrument, with 4 to 36 channels per system and “is expandable up to no limit”. A wide frequency range, from 0.1Hz up to 24kHz, continuous or event based recording, and communication via Ethernet, USB or wireless means allow use in all monitoring applications. “Along with excellent time accuracy (GPS or DCF) and a high dynamic range, with 24 bit technology, it has a very low noise level for ultra sensitive observations,” the company says.

DMT also states its GYROMAT 3000 is the most accurate precision surveying gyroscope worldwide. “Ergonomically designed with wireless remote control and data transmission the GYROMAT 3000 offers a fully automated measuring sequence with no need of pre-orientation, with a precision of 1 mgon within a measuring time of approx. 10 minutes,” it says.

DMT‘s CoreScan II has been designed for drill-core image acquisition, evaluation and storage of full circumference and slabbed cores. An integrated data management system allows the formation of a digital drill-core library. CoreLog integration, evaluation and orientation of structures, derivation of geomechanical parameters, true depth, strike and dip, differentiation of mineral phases, grain size distribution and analysis, porosity analysis, and quality management and assurance are the stated advantages of this system and software. The system can be applied in exploration, geotechnics and scientific deep drilling.
