As editor of the world’s oldest weekly consumer photographic magazine, Atherton joins members of T&T’s Editorial Advisory Board, along with former group editor George Demetri, art editor Adam MacNamara and newly-appointed editor Patrick Reynolds.

Atherton will help the judges with the difficult task of choosing a winner from the many excellent photo entries that have been received from around the world.

Having studied photography at Plymouth College of Art & Design, and the University of Westminster, Atherton worked as a professional photographer for over 10 years before joining Amateur Photographer magazine in 1994.

He was appointed editor of What Digital Camera in 2002 and group editor of the Time Inc UK photography portfolio in 2013. He has also written and edited several books on photography.
