The Position
Femern A/S is about to establish a department for E&M works (Electrical & Mechanical systems) within the Tunnel Department. The E&M Contract Director (CD) will be responsible for establishing and developing the E&M department, which invovles the recruitment of personnel and the selection/appointment of the consultants who will play an important role as external advisors. In the course of developing plans and seeking approval to the overall fixed link project, Femern A/S has carried out a conceptual design and has engaged a wide range of external consultants.
The CD refers to the Project Director of the Tunnel Department. The CD is a member of the technical management team together with the other Contract Directors in the Tunnel Department.
Professional Experience
The CD is most likely to have an academic background within the area of technical engineering. Furthermore, the CD is expected to meet the following requirements:
– Profound knowledge of the technical disciplines of E&M works and SCADA-systems
– Experience with E&M from similar large-scale infrastructure projects
– Managerial experience and project management experience (including financial management of large-scale projects)
– Experience as negotiator
– Fluent in English, oral and written
– Knowledge of interfaces towards railway works.

– Have good communication skills
– Be willing and able to cooperate and think across professional boundaries
– Be proactive
– Be flexible and able to deal with changes
– Have strong commitment.
