At this month’s 33rd International Tunnelling Association (ITA) General Assembly and World Tunnel Congress in Prague, Czech Republic, the UK’s Martin Knights (pictured left) was voted in as the new president of the Association, succeeding Harvey Parker of the USA (right).

Other news from the highly-successful event, which saw 1300 delegates gather from around the world, includes a change of name for the Association, which will now be known as the ‘International Tunnelling & Underground Space Association’.
