North Korea has expressed interest in taking part in Pakistan’s Lowari road tunnel scheme. This followed talks between the North Korean ambassador Rim Song and Pakistan’s federal secretary for communications Iftikhar Rashid. North Korea has agreed to carry out a feasibility study into the highway. Mr Rim said such cooperation will bring both countries closer, while North Korean construction companies are taking great interest in Pakistan’s major projects.
