Plans are gaining momentum for an undersea rail tunnel to link Korea and Japan.
The Japan-Korea Tunnel Research, a non-profit organisation made up of 500 academics and construction engineers, has said it will begin a joint research project with Korean specialists to assess tunnel plans. If the tunnel is ever built, it would have to run under the sea for approximately 200km.
