A record number of exhibitors attended bauma CHINA 2024 last month, including TBM manufacturers Herrenknecht and CRCHI.
The event, which returned after a four-year hiatus, attracted 218,488 trade visitors from 188 countries and regions, and 3,542 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions. The number of exhibitors was up 24% on the previous show.
Stefan Rummel, CEO of organiser Messe München said bauma CHINA made “an incredible comeback and impressively confirmed its leading position in the Asia-Pacific region. The density of top players and outstanding technologies was inspiring”.
The show focused on the themes of intelligent management and cutting-edge energy technologies. Messe München said forums offered in-depth discussions and provided insights into pioneering achievements in sustainability, innovative practices in new energy co-operation and intelligent integration solutions.
China Construction Machinery Association chairman Su Zimeng said that over the four-day show “we witnessed impressive achievements by companies serving both domestic and international markets, and gained valuable insight into the new opportunities driven by China’s high-quality economic growth”.
Ma Ji, general manager of marketing and sales of Cummins (China) Investment Co Ltd said he was impressed by the large number of international visitors.
Alongside Herrenknecht and CRCHI, bauma CHINA attracted many international brands such as Caterpillar, Manitou, Manitowoc, Wirtgen Group and Bosch Rexroth.
Bauma CHINA 2024 was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from November 26-29. The next bauma CHINA will take place from November 24-27, 2026 in Shanghai.
