Rescuers tried to reach six workers trapped by a tunnel collapse, late March, during construction work on the new Line 10 metro link being built near the 2008 Olympics site, in Beijing. Bodies were recovered as local reports claimed problems in the management of the works. Cracks had reportedly been seen the day before. The line is due to go into service in July 2008.
