The New York Blower Company, based in Illinois, US, recently took a stake in the tunnel ventilation market with the acquisition of Ohio based TLT-Babcock from Babcock Borsig Power AG of Oberhausen, Germany.
The New York Blower Company traditionally manufactures centrifugal and axial fans and blowers for the commercial OEM air-handler market, as well as the industrial, environmental, chemical, and manufacturing process markets in North America and the Far East.
TLT-Babcock manufactures axial and centrifugal fans, dampers and ash-handling systems for the utility, industrial, tunnel, mine and construction markets worldwide.
“TLT-Babcock brings a wealth of additional product scope and global reach that is very complementary to New York Blower’s existing strengths,” Paul Novotny, New York Blower’s president, said. “This combination will provide significant, long-term growth potential for both organisations worldwide.”
