A 2.8m diameter Lovat TBM was launched on 9 October on a 3km long drive for a storm sewer system in Bogota, Colombia.
The TBM will be used by owner Microtunel SA DE CV of Mexico on the Colector Central Fontibon and Centenario project in the city. It will bore through fine sand with some silt and clay along an alignment that is also expected to encounter some water.
