March 4th saw the official rename of the combined consultancies Oscar Faber, Maunsell Europe and Metcalf & Eddy UK to FaberMaunsell.
The company will draw on strengths in the field of building engineering, transportation planning and environmental engineering from Oscar Faber and infrastructure development particularly in tunnels from Maunsell. Metcalf & Eddy provided expertise in water and wastewater engineering.
FaberMaunsell will be in the strong position to draw strength from its parent company AECOM Technology Corporation, which is responsible for some of the world’s largest projects under development.
A spokesman for FaberMaunsell told T&TI, "The new changes that have taken place over the past six months present us with an outstanding opportunity to grow FaberMaunsell into a world class consultancy, capable of delivering the best possible multi-disciplinary solutions for our clients."
