Contractors are to be appointed soon for the construction of a water transfer tunnel as part of Malaysia’s US$790M Pahang-Selangor raw water transfer scheme. The tunnel will have a capacity to transfer up to 2,400m litres per day of raw water from Pahang to Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan. The scheme is included among the US$1.1bn worth of water supply projects in the government’s eighth Malaysian plan.
