Skanska has been appointed by the Highways Agency to refurbish the 400m three lane Saltash tunnel in Cornwall, south west England – one of the busiest roads in the region. The US$11.74M contract includes road resurfacing, new drainage, ventilation, lighting, and a secondary enamel-coated lining. The project started last month, and should be completed by May 2003.
