UK steel manufacturer, Transforge Universal JV, has won an order from Costain Skanska Bachy JV for the supply of brackets and walkways to support pipes and cables used by the TBM on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) C240, which will bore a 5km tunnel from Stratford to Little Ilford in East London. This type of product is also being used for the first time on the CTRL London tunnels, bringing the total order value to almost US$1.6M.
