The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) has confirmed it will add two additional underground stations on the US$4.5bn Central to Sha Tin line (see T&TI August 2002). The first new station will be built at Tsz Wan Shan near Diamond Hull, while the second will be built near the Kowloon waterfront in the Whampoa area. The light rail shuttle will be built by KCRC to connect this station with Hung Hom interchange station. These were originally part of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation‘s tender proposals; KCRC’s rival.
