Bob Goodfellow last month joined US-based Aldea Services as senior vice president. Goodfellow joins vice President Mohamed Younis and President Gina Goodfellow in the recently formed tunnelling and geotechnical engineering firm.

The firm, which made it debut at the Rapid Tunnelling and Excavation Conference in San Francisco last month aims to establish itself as an international consulting firm and plans to grow to half a dozen employees in the coming year.

“We are all very excited to be working together again under the Aldea Services banner,” said Bob Goodfellow. “We plan to create a brand with Aldea Services that means high quality and integrity wherever we work in the world.”

The company, which is 100 per cent owned by wife of Bob Goodfellow, Gina Goodfellow, will focus on winning work in North America for the first year and aims to become involved in international projects as the company grows.

The company offers services in design and construction management for underground projects. It also argues it can deliver expertise in management of risk and delivery of underground projects at all stages, including planning, design, and construction.
