RWE, the German group which recently acquired Thames Water, the largest water serviuce company in the UK, has said it is planning to sell off it majority shareholding in leading tunnelling contractor Hochtief.
Chairman of RWE, Dietmar Kuhnt, is quoited as saying that construction is no longer a core business for RWE, which will concentrate on the utility and waste markets.
