Hong Kong consultants Scott Wilson in joint venture with Mott Connel has won detailed design and construction supervision for a tunnel on Route 10 from the highways department. The 4.2km tunnel will be built through the north-west New Territories. The southern portal will connect with the planned Tsing Lung suspenstion bridge which is being design by Chiyoda of Japan and Britain’s Maunsell. Preliminary design of the tunnel was done by Mott Connell.
