A Singapore newspaper has reported that Taiwanese authorities may write off their partially completed Kaohsiung subway following a spate of accidents including the collapse of a building last Monday.
Sandy ground has been linked to the accidents on the underground project. The paper reported the Kaohsiung city mayor saying: “Evaluation must be done to see if the geological problems can be overcome. If not, then we’ll see if the project should be halted.”
