The major scope of work for the contract comprises the design and construction of a 5km-long twin tunnel by TBM, cut and cover tunnel box, underground ramp and the four underground stations at Chhattarpur, Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU and Neb Sarai. There are also the associated works for the Aerocity to Tughlakabad corridor.
The contract is valued at Rs 1,000-2,500 crore.
The Aerocity to Tughlakabad corridor is one of three priority corridors that will expand the 389km DMRC network by around 62km; the other two are the 28.9km Janakpuri West-RK Ashram corridor and the 12.5km Maujpur-Majlis corridor. The three are part of the overall six corridors that make up the US$6bn Phase 4 which will have a total length of 104km.
