Brazillian contractor Odebrecht was awarded the civils contract for the USD 210M Los Teques Metro Line Two in Venezuela. The consortium of Alstom, Thales and Colas chose Odebrecht as it had previously constructed Metro Caracas Lines Four and Three (phase two), as well as Line One of Metro Los Teques.
The line will run for 12km through six stations. Maximum station depth will be 47m for Carrizal Station and 16.5m for Las Minas Station. Work began in late October and will take four years. Construction will begin in the second half of 2012.
