MineARC Systems completed the acquisition of Shairzal Safety Engineering in February.
Negotiations between the two Australian companies lasted a few months and resulted in MineARC officially taking over Shairzal’s manufacturing, servicing and sales commitments to all past and present customers.
The Shairzal brand and product line will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
MineARC Systems manufactures and supplies emergency safe-refuge to the underground mining, tunnelling and petro-chemical industries.
Shairzal is a multi-discipline engineering company that specialises in mine safety equipment and confined space breathing air systems.
MineARC general manager Mike Lincoln said in a statement, “Together, we are uniquely positioned to provide the most comprehensive product offering available to the market. The resulting portfolio will include emergency refuge solutions for hard rock, coal, tunnelling and petrochemical industries.” He added that Shairzal’s customers will be well looked after.
