The new company has been formed from UnPS and the temporary works business from sister company Baker Hicks. Sitting within the wider Morgan Sindall Infrastructure business, this team of 70 engineers enables the company to, in its own words “support and complement the full breadth of our construction and infrastructure activities”.
Speaking to Tunnels and Tunnelling, director of Morgan Sindall Engineering Solutions David Clayton said, “I can reassure your readers that tunnelling and underground space design will continue to be at the forefront of Engineering Solutions’ activities and will build on the GBP 100M of value engineering savings already delivered to our customers across GBP 3bn worth of the most prestigious infrastructure projects in the UK.
“Recently for example, we have delivered innovative solutions at the Lee Tunnel and Crossrail C510 and we are currently working with the joint venture consisting of Morgan Sindall, Bam Nuttall and Balfour Beatty which is delivering the west section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel.”
