Potential tenderers for a 1.6km long rock tunnel in Norway have until 11 January next year to express their interest and submit a tender. The tunnel will be located in the Nordland region of Norway and also includes 450m of surface road which is to be finished in asphalt as well as the roadway within the tunnel. Designated the EV10 Fjøsdalen contract for protection against rockfalls and avalanches, works are due to be finished by mid-September 2007.
