The project comprises a 10km tunnel and 24km of roads as part of the Konjic – Mostar North section on motorway Corridor 5c in central Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project, being built for the Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is part of the pan-European corridor linking Hungary and north-eastern Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Adriatic Sea. It also lies on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Mediterranean core network.
