Engineering director of Morgan Est’s tunnelling division, Colin Eddie, was elected to be a Fellow of The Royal Academy of Engineering in July.
Eddie is responsible for the management of a specialist underground engineering department within the tunnelling business unit. Since 1992, he has worked with Morgan Est’s sister company Beton-und-Monierbau on several high profile sprayed concrete projects such as Heathrow Terminal 5 and CTRL North Downs Tunnel. The Fellowship was bestowed on Eddie for “his research work in his specialist field of tunnelling and in particular sprayed concrete tunnel linings”.
Eddie said: “I look forward to meeting and learning from eminent engineers and scientists from the wide spectrum of disciplines embodied by the Royal Academy of Engineering.”
