France’s Cegelec is favoured for two contracts worth a combined US$19.4M from Singapore’s Land Transport Authority for the supply and installation of tunnel ventilation and electrical equipment on stage three of the Circle Line mass transit system. Other competitive bids came from Amec Singapore with Amec Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Hyundai Asian Technics. On the second stage of the Circle Line metro, Japanese contractor Shinryo Corporation won a US$13.7M contract to supply and install tunnel ventilation and environmental control systems after submitting the lowest bid.
