The New Water Supply Oslo contract was signed with The Agency for Water and Wastewater Services of Oslo Municipality, Norway, and is worth around US$324m.

The work mainly involves the blasting of rock chambers and three large tunnels with a total length of five kilometres. Around 1.2 million cubic metres of solid rock will be excavated which will see Skanska operating seven tunnel rigs at the peak of production. Special measures, including systematic pre-injection, will be required as the project is in an area of central Oslo that has a complex geology.

Construction will start in September 2020 and will be completed in May 2024.
