The extension is due to be completed in 2015. Alstom will be responsible for supplying the main ventilation system for the stations and tunnels of the new line passage, which will be very important to ensure passenger comfort and safety, the company stated.
In service since 2002, Line 5 has six stations linking Capao Redondo to Largo Treze and serves more than 22,000 passengers per hour.
