One of South Korea’s longest road tunnels to date, the 4.6km long Jungnyeong tunnel, has been opened to traffic by the National Highway Corporation. The tunnel forms an essential section on the Chungang Expressway that provides a transport link between Danyang in the Chungbuk province and Yeongju in the Gyeonbuk province.
