The shield TBM for the Songxian Second Sewage Relocation East Line Pipeline project has passed its Factory Acceptance Test.
A “roll-off ceremony” at Tangxing Technology’s Trenchless Equipment Industrial Park this week was attended by industry leaders and guests.
Hucheng No. 1, which has a 3.82m diameter and is 65m long, will undertake the shield stage excavation of the project.
The project has a total length of 2.23km, primarily through composite strata including hard rock, fractured ground and clay.
To meet the project’s demand, Tangxing’s R&D team designed several key technological systems for Hucheng No. 1. These include the gate-type trolley to improve the TBM’s stability and flexibility; a slurry circulation system to optimise the slurry separation and slag discharge; a multi-mode cooling system to ensure the safe operation of equipment during high loads; a multi-joint segment lifting system to enhance transport efficiency and safety; and an intelligent monitoring and control system to improve operational precision.
