Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has announced it has been appointed to negotiate a procurement engineering services contract by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for improvements to the IH-635 West Section freeway.
A subsidiary company won the contract from the Texas Turnpike Authority Divison of TxDOT. The total contract value is said to be $19M of this $1bn project.
The major freeway reconstruction project includes, “roadway and interchange design, heavy urban tunnelling, ventilation and excavation activities related to the implementation of a managed facility on one of the busiest freeway corridors in Texas”.
